Šrámek, Jan ; Horáček, Radek (referee) ; Sylvestrová, Marta (referee) ; Pospiszyl, Tomáš (referee) ; Stratil, Václav (advisor)
A doctoral thesis “Czechoslovakian modernist illustration of the 1950s and 1960s and its influences in the contemporary Czech visual culture” is focused on how a modernist illustration of the 1950s and 1960s influences Czech contemporary authors, especially illustrators. We can witness a particularly strong influence of the above mentioned modernist illustration and visual culture of that period in general among producers employing digital tools and vector graphics served. The thesis contains a historical study which follows developments of the visual language of graphic arts (illustration in particular) in the 1950s and 1960s in relation to fine arts. There is a special focus on a position of the 1960s’ modernist illustration within the applied arts of the period. Biographical study dedicated to illustrator M. Šašek introduce key figure of the (late) modernist period.

Influence of hod dip galvanizing on properties of high-strenght steels
Křemen, Jan ; Suchánková, Ivana (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the influence of hod dip galvanizing on properties of high-strenght steel. Galvanizing adversely affects the mechanical properties of high-strenght steel. This paper also examines the influence of hod dip galvanizing at hardness high-strenght steels. The task is to assess how the yield stress can galvanize steel.
Brick Dust Arising During Grinding of Burnt Brickwork and Possibilities of its Utilization
Kocmánek, Tomáš ; Sokolář, Radomír (referee) ; Nevřivová, Lenka (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on the brick dust arising during grinding of burnt brickwork and the possibilities of its utilization. In the theoretical part origin and basic properties of brick dust is described. Some published results of research on the potential utilization of brick dust in various industries are presented here. Also proposal of utilization of brick dust in the ceramic industry is presented. In the practical part two ceramic raw materials and the two brick dust with different granulometry arising during grinding of burnt brickwork (made from these two ceramic raw materials) were selected. The effect of the addition of brick dust to the ceramic raw materials on the physical - mechanical properties of ceramic body after sintering was investigated.
Impact of color models on performance of convolutional neural networks
Šimunský, Martin ; Doležel, Petr (referee) ; Škrabánek, Pavel (advisor)
Current knowledge about impact of colour models on performance of convolutional neural network is investigated in the first part of this thesis. The experiment based on obtained knowledge is conducted in the second part. Six colour models HSV, CIE 1931 XYZ, CIE 1976 L*a*b*, YIQ a YCbCr and deep convolutional neural network ResNet-101 are used. RGB colour model achieved the highest classification accuracy, whereas HSV color model has the lowest accuracy in this experiment.
Earth´s shape and its atmosphere effects on operation of navigation aids
Korbel, Martin ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Vosecký, Slavomír (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to explore and describe the effects and consequences of the Earth’s shape and its atmosphere on land and on-board radio equipment used in aviation. This thesis contains the description of these influences affecting the whole spectrum of electromagnetic waves used in aviation communication, navigation and air traffic control. It also explains specific forms of effects of the Earth’s shape and its atmosphere on individual devices, which are most commonly used in civil air navigation.

Cell - Phone Effects on Human Health
Pieniažek, Ireneusz ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is dealing with the influence of cell phones on man. First part is focused on the introduction to the problems of cell phone communication. There are described the frequencies and wave lengths, which the cell phones use. Here is also described the principle of cell phones functioning. Second part is devoted to influence of the cell phones on the human body. It is discussing the electromagnetic compatibility of the biological systems and describing the electromagnetic field occurring in cell phone communications. There are also described the thermal effects of the cell phones and this chapter further discusses the hypothesis about the non-thermal effects of the cell phones. There is a description of mechanism of influence of radio waves. This part also describes the possible health hazards resulting from the use of cell phones and the problem of relationship between the occurrence of cancer and the use of cell phones. There are mentioned other ecological problems connected with cell telephony. Third part is focused on the SAR measurement (specific absorption rate) of the cell phone. Here we can find the definition of SAR. It describes the tested apparatuses, the procedure of measurement and measured values for GSM 900, GSM 1800 and W-CDMA 2000 standards. Tested apparatus in this case is Samsung SGH-Z140V. We can find here technical engineering solutions, which are aimed to minimize the specific absorbing power absorbed by human body during the use of apparatus.
